How CAPEA is Organised
The National Executive Board of CAPEA, Inc. comprises the office-bearers elected at the Annual General Meeting held between September and November each year — including the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
It also includes elected and appointed members such as the Membership Officer, Engagement Officer, Chairperson for the Biennial Conference and Convenor, Project Leads and the Public Officer.
The Executive Board meets 4 times a year via Zoom, with regular communications maintained via a private WhatsApp Community Page to discuss and share information about the progress of ongoing projects, educational events and conference planning.

The FEC is a designated subcommittee of National CAPEA providing a leadership role in practice-based learning and professional development, including:
- Development and ongoing review of the Competency Standards for Childbirth and Early Parenting Educators and Scope of Practice
- Development of processes for CAPEA endorsement of educational programs and certification of Childbirth and Parenting Educators
- Awarding of certification and endorsement
