The “CAPEA QLD Symposium on Birth and Parenting Education” is a one-day event for midwives and other health professionals involved in educating women and their families. 2024 Group Skills Facilitation Training for Antenatal & Early Parenting Facilitators

The two-day Group Skills Facilitation Training is an interactive workshop which provides baseline training for Midwives, Child and Family Health Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, Physiotherapists and Independent Childbirth Facilitators who are providing antenatal and early parenting education to
women, partners and families.

Dianne Collis will be running a workshop Pondering about Poos and Wondering about Wees at the CAPEA QLD Symposium. This workshop will increase delegates knowledge and awareness of the valuable role they can play in the early detection and referral of children with continence issues to appropriate support services.

Professor Jeanine Young will be presenting The Queensland Pēpi-Pod® Program: A partnership in translating advice to action in reducing preventable infant mortality. This presentation will share the journey of the Pēpi-Pod® Program over the last decade highlighting the importance of co-design, partnerships, and effective airway protection messaging in reducing preventable infant mortality.
