This is an easy read book ideally suited to pregnant and new mothers wanting a resource that provides information and ideas focussing on breastfeeding.  The conversation style writing allows even the most sleep deprived mum to be able to comprehend what is being suggested.  The style provides quick reference guides showing what is going on,  and what to do about it, giving lots of evidence based practical suggestions.  There are a few facts within the information being provided that may have been updated since this book was written, so I would recommend discussing specific feeding issues with your health care provider.  The dietary advice is practical and realistic for a new mum and is peppered through the book alongside the timeline of breastfeeding progress.  It would be an ideal gift for a new mum and be an excellent addition to a childbirth and parenting educators library or list of books recommended for clients.
